Notes:John and his wife moved to Plympton Township in Lambton County following their marriage. John owned a farm on the Plympton-Enniskillen townline and apparently rented it out and taught school on the 13th line of Plympton, where his children were born. He also taught school in Wyoming and it was while he was teaching there that he died. His daughter, Cecelia, was married to Tom Bridekirk the following year and the widowed Mrs. Duff lived with them until her death a year later. John and Jane are buried in South Plympton Township Cemetery
